Teeth whitening
In-office whitening lifts stains from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco using a 25 percent hydrogen peroxide gel applied in three 15 minute rounds during one visit. Your gums are protected with a barrier the whole time.
Most patients leave 3 to 5 shades lighter after one session. For gradual results at home, we also make custom trays with a 10 percent carbamide peroxide gel worn nightly over 2 weeks.

What to expect

Shade check and polish (30 minutes)
We record your starting shade and polish away surface buildup so the gel reaches enamel evenly. If tartar is present, a cleaning ($120) is scheduled first.

Gel application (60 minutes)
A barrier protects your gums, then the 25 percent hydrogen peroxide gel goes on in three 15 minute rounds. We recheck the shade after each round.

Aftercare (48 hours)
Skip coffee, tea, red wine, and dark sauces for 48 hours while the enamel rehydrates. Any sensitivity fades within 48 hours; we send you home with a fluoride gel.

Common questions
How long do results last?
12 to 24 months for most patients, depending on coffee, tea, wine, and tobacco habits. Take-home trays extend results with a top-up night every few months.
Does whitening damage enamel?
No. The gel oxidizes stain molecules without changing enamel structure. Temporary sensitivity is common and fades within 48 hours.
Will it whiten crowns, veneers, or fillings?
No. Porcelain and composite hold their shade. If you have visible dental work, we whiten first and then match any replacements to the new shade.
Why not use drugstore strips?
Strips use a weaker gel and cover the front teeth only. One office session with a 25 percent gel and gum protection does in an hour what strips take 2 to 3 weeks to approach.
